Von 11 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr demonstrieren wir auf dem Wasser und an Land für die Klimawende in Berlin, insbesondere gegen die Verbrennung fossiler Rohstoffe und die Umstellung von Kohle- auf Erdgas-Kraftwerke. Saubere Gaskraftwerke sind ein Mythos!
Der Berliner Kohleausstieg ist auf 2030 festgesetzt – Kohle soll nun nach Plänen von Vattenfall und dem Berliner Senat ersetzt werden durch fossiles Erdgas. Die Erdgas-Lobby spricht von Erdgas als Brückentechnologie der Energiewende – wir sprechen von fossiler Sackgasse und Klimakiller! Denn während der Nutzung von Erdgas werden große Mengen an Methan ausgestoßen, die in den ersten 20 Jahren nach Ausstoß 87fach so klimaschädlich sind wie CO2. Doch die Zivilgesellschaft formiert sich und streitet mit vereinten Kräften für eine 100% erneuerbare Wärme bis 2035!
Nun muss auch die Politik Farbe bekennen! Am 26. September wählt Berlin ein neues Abgeordnetenhaus und einen neuen Senat. Der bestehende Senat hat bereits die Klimanotlage erklärt. Nun muss die gesamte Stadt eindeutig Kurs setzen - auf schnellstmögliche Klimaneutralität!
Nur so wird Berlin zur Klimahauptstadt!
Daher, unser Motto: Gas & Kohle versenken - Kurs setzen: 100% Erneuerbar
Die Wasser- und Laufdemo starten um 11 Uhr in der Rummelsburger Bucht (Alice-und-Hella-Hirsch-Ring, am Wasser). Um 13 Uhr wird an der East Side Gallery (auf Höhe der Mercedes-Benz Arena) eine Zwischenkundgebung stattfinden. Hier besteht die Möglichkeit auch noch weitere Boote einzusetzen; insbesondere für SUPs sehr zu empfehlen. Von der East Side Gallery geht es dann zur Michaelbrücke, an der beide Demos zur Abschlusskundgebung vor dem Gas-Heizkraftwerk Mitte zusammentreffen
werden.

Dear friends,
on July 25th, 2021 we say "Cast off!" for the “Climate & Boat” demo!
>From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. we will demonstrate on the water and on land
against the climate change in Berlin in particular against the burning
of fossil fuels and the switch from coal to natural gas power plants.
Clean gas power plants are a myth!
Berlin’s fossil-fuel phase-out is set for 2030 – according to the plans
of Vattenfall and the Berlin Senate coal will be replaced by fossil
natural gas. The natural gas lobby is talking about natural gas as a
bridge technology for the energy transition – we're talking about
fossil dead end and climate killer! During the use of natural gas,
large quantities of methane are emitted, which are 87 times as harmful
to the climate as CO2 in the first 20 years after emission. But civil
resistance is forming and fighting for a 100% renewable heat by 2035!
Now the politics must also show its colours!
On September 26, Berlin elects a new House of Representatives and a new
Senate.
The existing Senate has already declared the climate relief. Now the
entire city must set a clear course towards climate neutrality as
quickly as possible!
This is the only way to make Berlin a climate capital!
Therefore, our motto: Sink Gas & Coal – Set course: 100% Renewable
Both demos start at 11 a.m. at Alice-und-Hella-Hirsch-Ring, meet again
at East Side Gallery and for the final rally at the bridge
Michaelbrücke in front of the thermal power station Mitte.
